I'm pleased to present a new podcast episode with co-authors of the Indus Valley Annual Report, Anurag Pagaria and Nachammai Savithri.
“I think the biggest takeaway for me has to be about the storytelling bit... and how important it is to tell a story. And I think I will not even take the credit for it. I will give most of the credit to Sajith because of driving the whole process, right? If you look at him, he has done it three times. So the driving of the story, how do you tell a story? What is the story? What are you trying to answer? All of those things are something that I learned along the way.” That's Anurag Pagaria of Blume Ventures, who has co-authored the excellent Indus Valley Annual Report 2024, along with Nachammai Savithri (or NS) and the inimitable Sajith Pai. Whoa, it's number 99. The big 1-0-0 is looming on the horizon. I'm thinking of a special announcement for the milestone. Stay tuned! Last week progress on the book was better. I am writing the last couple of chapters and in parallel have started doing a complete read-through and edit of the existing chapters. It's a fun process! And now, on to the newsletter. (which without any conscious plan, has become an Econ-focused issue!) Welcome to the ninety-ninth edition of '3-2-1 by Story Rules'. A...
Boy, this back-to-work week has been tough, after a fun break! I would have loved to be able to make some good progress on the book, but could not because of a critical project which took up more time than expected. Hopefully next week is better. And now, on to the newsletter. Welcome to the ninety-eighth edition of '3-2-1 by Story Rules'. A newsletter recommending good examples of storytelling across: 3 tweets 2 articles, and 1 long-form content piece Let's dive in. 𝕏 3 Tweets of the week...
We spent the last week of December in Bangalore. It's a city that's after my heart. If you keep aside the traffic (BIG if), there's so much to love. The endless greens of Cubbon Park and Lalbagh. The wonderfully consistent darshinis. The plethora of fabulous craft breweries. The city is blessed. Two experiences stood out for us. One was a curated food walk by food expert (and distant relative!) Ajit Bhaskar. Ajit is a food scientist with a passion for running and food. He took us on a tour of...
